Well, I had the exact same problem. And after rooting, recovering, and all the other stuff out there in the web. NOTHING WORKED. But then I found the strangest solution!! And it works perfectly, IEMI is back, and after 3 weeks of nothingness. My phone is back to life and is reliable. How I did it:One night at sushi, i had a 100 USD bill and no pockets (running shorts), I then chose to open the battery cover of my useless S5 and hid there the bill.
After closing the case, my phone starting beeping and buzzing, and is actually registering on the network.WTH???I remove the bill. And IEMI disappears. And phone is no longer registered on the network.I compress in a post-it. And Bam it works. So basically, when applying pressure to the battery surrounding plastic frame, somehow, it revives the phone.I suspect that some electronics got a bit lose after a whatever impact and that, when applying pressure to that precise location, the physical flash responsible for IEMI and baseband, connects back.So before you waist your KNOX and time, try the above. A bit of paper pressed between the battery cover and the frame might just do the trick;)CheersLaurent Reply.
Any help would be great because im totally lost. I dropped my rooted phone into water and have had issues since. I put it into rice for the night, next day it wouldn't start up so i switched batteries and everything loaded up fine. Then I noticed i was getting no signal. Looked at about phone and baseband was unknown and imei was gone.
Efs File Android
Wifi was working fine. I backed up my efs files with software, so i have a efs image and folder. I then like a total fool did a factory reset and it would turn on anymore. So i tried to root it again with firmware i found online with odin 1.85. It boots up as far as the samsung logo but thats it. I dont know what else to do. I have no any other ideasThe method i used to root the phone was this youtube video'How to Root Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 Jelly Bean Android 4.1.1/4.1.2!'
I have uninstalled all the Sonic programs (and cleaned them from the registry), and am trying to just use Windows Media Player 10 to burn a CD in that drive, but it doesn't recognize any CD or DVD burner. I am able to play a CD from both my DVD ROM drive (D) and this Philips 8701 DVD+/-RW drive (E) as well as play DVDs from both drives. Philips dvd-rw dvd8701 firmware.
I have attached the egs folderThanks. Any help would be great because im totally lost. I dropped my rooted phone into water and have had issues since.
