DUY is pleased to announce that legendary plug-in “DaD Tape” is now available as a RTAS, Audio Units, VST and MAS plug-in, in response to market and users’ demands. DUY DaD Tape was originally developed for TDM in the mid-90s to satisfy the needs of digital recording technology, and escape the “cold digital recording media”. To achieve the desired results, four of the most representative tape machines in the market were physically modelled. DUY also simulated three of the most common noise reduction systems, and even added a proprietary noiseless-tape mode. Shortly before we had released 5 plug-ins which left several mouths open at Digidesign's hearquarters: DUY DaD Valve, DUY DaD Tape (tube/valve and tape simulators), DUY Wide (stereo enhancer), DUY Shape (3-band waveshaper) and Max DUY (level maximizer).In the years to follow, I would become Head of Marketing and Sales and DUY. It's quite an honour, really.New developments followed: SynthSpider (a modular synthesizer for TDM), Magic Spectrum (an amazingly powerful Spectral matching plug-in), MagicEQ (an automatic equalizer!).At this point we have plug-ins for Digidesign's TDM and RTAS, Apple Computer's Audio Units (AU), Steinberg/Yamaha's VST system and Mark of the Unicorn (MotU)'s MAS platform, for Max.And we're working on more new stuff, to be released within a few months.Apart from DUY, I've been working on Acoustics and designing studios from an architectural point of view.
