Atmel, Protel Team For EDA Software News from E-InSiteAtmel Corp. And Sydney, Australia-based Protel International Ltd.said Thursday they have recently inked a deal to make Protel’s electronic designautomation tools available to Amel’s programmable logic device customers.As part of the deal, San Jose-based Atmel (nasdaq: ATML) will begin distributingProChip Designer, an EDA suite that incorporates Protel’s design tools with Atmel’sproprietary user interface/design navigator and device specific fitter software.
